The deal cements a long-standing operational history, as the team has managed the platform since 2003. Serving as a production hub for the Greater Kittiwake Area, the asset has maintained a safety record spanning over two decades without a single lost-time incident. This consistency has been a central pillar of the partnership between the Aberdeen-based support staff and the offshore crew.
John Pearson, Chief Operating Officer of CB&I Asset Solutions, noted that the contract reflects the team's deep institutional knowledge of the platform. For EnQuest, the decision to retain CB&I leverages a unified approach to managing the technical challenges of the project’s final lifecycle phase. By optimizing late-life operations, the companies aim to ensure the platform remains both economically viable and safe until the infrastructure is retired.
