By integrating its research with the cluster’s expertise, the company seeks to bridge the gap between academic science and patient-focused therapeutic outcomes.

Uli Brödl, Chief Scientific Officer at Grünenthal, noted that the initiative connects the company with experts dedicated to solving significant medical challenges. The cluster, supported by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space, includes major participants such as the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, the Technical University of Munich, and the Helmholtz Centre Munich. This network serves as a hub for 14 companies and various research institutions, providing a foundation for scientific breakthroughs in nucleic acid chemistry and pharmacology.
