Nevada King Cleared for 482 New Drill Sites at Atlanta Gold Project

With regulatory approval secured for 482 new drill sites at its 130-square-kilometer Atlanta Gold Mine, Nevada King Gold Corp. is scaling up operations. The company has deployed a third drill rig to the site, aiming to accelerate a fully funded 40,000-meter exploration program across its Nevada holdings.

The Bureau of Land Management’s approval of the fifth modification to the project’s Plan of Operations allows for 78 reverse circulation and 404 rotary air blast drill sites. This expansion brings the total disturbed area at the Atlanta property to 73.4 acres. The new sites target key mineralized zones, specifically within the Atlanta South, Silver Park, and Western Rim areas, where the company plans to test for extensions of previously identified gold and silver intercepts.

To manage the increased scope, Nevada King has added a third rig to the site, joining two others that are now operating on continuous 12-hour shifts. The company holds approximately C$18.1 million in cash and equivalents, ensuring the ongoing 40,000-meter Phase 4 program remains financially supported. CEO John Sclodnick cited the efficient two-month review process by regulators as a key advantage for the company’s exploration timeline, noting that the team is now positioned to aggressively follow up on prospective targets.
