Bunker Hill Mining Appoints Permanent CFO and General Counsel

Bradley Barnett has officially stepped into the role of chief financial officer at Bunker Hill Mining, a move that anchors the firm's leadership transition within the United States. Barnett, who previously served as interim finance chief, is now charged with overseeing the company's fiscal operations as it pushes toward commercial production.

Bunker Hill Mining Appoints Permanent CFO and General Counsel

Barnett assumed the interim position this past March after the departure of Gerbrand Van Heerden, who resigned to return to South Africa. A U.S. citizen, Barnett was among the three founding members of the current management team that arrived in Idaho’s Silver Valley in 2020 to oversee the revival of the historic Bunker Hill Mine.

Beyond the finance department, the company has tapped Mark Hayes as general counsel, effective August 10, 2026. Hayes joins the firm from Nuton, a copper leaching technology venture owned by Rio Tinto. These leadership changes arrive as the Bunker Hill Mine, a site dormant for roughly 45 years, continues its remediation process to resume the production of silver, zinc, and lead concentrates.
