Hub One Picks Ribbon PSX to Centralize French Voice Traffic

Hub One, a major French telecommunications operator, has tapped Ribbon Communications to overhaul its voice routing infrastructure. By deploying Ribbon’s PSX Policy and Routing Engine, the firm aims to unify its diverse communications services—ranging from private 4G/5G networks to contact center operations—under a single, centralized control layer.

The integration allows Hub One to manage complex routing requirements, such as least-cost and quality-of-service protocols, across its entire national footprint. According to Khalid Oudassi, deputy head of infrastructure at Hub One, the platform serves as a bridge for disparate communication elements, enabling the company to maintain a competitive edge while customers migrate to more modern, software-driven services. Beyond routing, the PSX engine acts as a security layer, offering call validation tools to combat spoofing and robocalls.

Christian Erbe, who leads Ribbon’s sales in the EMEA region, noted that the deployment signals a deepened partnership between the two companies. For Hub One, which manages France’s largest private professional 4G/5G network and serves over 5,000 customers, the move is designed to simplify network maintenance. By shifting to a distributed deployment model, the operator eliminates the need to manually synchronize routing data across hundreds of individual sites, ensuring greater resiliency for critical infrastructure.
