New Tape Measure Hook Aims to End Measuring Frustration

"I thought there should be a way to extend the hook and enhance its grip," said a Thornton, Colorado-based inventor regarding the development of the Measure Z. This new design addresses the persistent issue of tape hooks slipping or shifting during use, aiming to streamline professional and home improvement tasks alike.

The Measure Z provides a modified tape hook geometry that extends further than traditional models, locking into place to ensure stability. By focusing on a more secure connection, the design reduces the repetitive frustration often associated with measuring tasks. Its ergonomic construction is intended for a wide range of users, from construction professionals and surveyors to homeowners and furniture builders.

Currently, the inventor has secured a prototype and is working with the national sales office of InventHelp to bring the product to market. The design is available for licensing or direct acquisition by manufacturers interested in updating standard hardware tools.
