Ancient Crunch Expands MASA Snack Line into Target

Three hundred twenty-six Target locations across the West Coast now stock MASA, a tortilla chip brand produced by Ancient Crunch. This retail push accelerates the company's national footprint, bringing products fried in grass-fed beef tallow to a wider audience of shoppers seeking alternatives to conventional seed-oil snacks.

The expansion introduces four core offerings to Target shelves: MASA Original, MASA Lime, Vandy French Onion, and Vandy Smokehouse. By moving into one of the country’s largest retail chains, co-founders Seth Goldstein and Steven Rofrano aim to scale their mission of using traditional nixtamalization methods and simple, real-food ingredients.

This move brings Ancient Crunch’s total retail presence to more than 3,000 locations nationwide. The brand currently maintains shelf space at major retailers including Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, and The Fresh Market, alongside its existing distribution through Amazon. The company emphasizes its rejection of seed oils and artificial fillers, positioning its products as a return to ancestral cooking standards in the competitive better-for-you snack category.
