Fabio Paganini, president of US Commercial Business for Boehringer Ingelheim, described the status as a validation of the company's core philosophy that healthier animals foster stronger community connections. By joining this cohort, the company commits to expanding the reach of science-backed education that helps veterinary professionals improve client communication and patient rapport.
The certification program, developed by the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) and the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI), consists of a 7.5-hour continuing education course. Since its 2018 launch, over 1,280 veterinary professionals have completed the training, which is hosted on the VetFolio digital platform. Beyond internal training, Boehringer Ingelheim’s support aims to lower barriers for individual clinics seeking to implement these human-animal bond standards into their daily practice.
