Rivertown Collision Rebrands as Group 1 Collision in Columbus

The Rivertown Collision Center of Columbus has officially transitioned to the name Group 1 Collision Rivertown, marking a strategic shift in the national brand alignment of Houston-based retailer Group 1 Automotive. The change, which took effect March 11, integrates the facility into a broader network while maintaining its local operations.

The rebranding effort aims to unify the company’s 32 collision centers under a single identity, connecting the Chattahoochee Valley facility to Group 1's international scale. Despite the new signage, the center retains its existing repair team, customer relationships, and daily operational protocols at its 1661 Whittlesey Road location.

Shelby Holley, General Manager of Group 1 Toyota Rivertown, emphasized that the transition does not affect the quality or nature of the service provided to the community. Drivers in Columbus, Phenix City, and Opelika will continue to work with the same technicians and estimators. The facility remains a core part of the Rivertown campus, offering comprehensive body work, paint services, and post-repair support within the parent company’s network of 251 dealerships.
