In her expanded capacity, Wood will oversee commercial client experience, portfolio management, and SBA lending initiatives. Her mandate includes identifying high-impact AI and technology opportunities to streamline commercial onboarding, origination, underwriting, and servicing processes. Wood previously served as Head of Commercial Portfolio Management at First Horizon, where she directed numerous strategic projects. Her background includes managing credit analysts and portfolio teams across North Carolina and Virginia, as well as holding a management role at TrustAtlantic Bank before its 2015 acquisition. Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Wood remains active in local philanthropy, having led the board of Meals on Wheels of Wake County and developed financial literacy programs for children at The Daniel Center for Math and Science.
