Planet Fitness Bundles Apple Music Subscriptions to Boost Workouts

New members joining Planet Fitness through July 31 can secure up to three months of Apple Music at no extra cost. The promotion, which requires a $1 down payment, aims to leverage the motivational power of curated playlists to help gym-goers increase their endurance during exercise sessions.

The offer tiers vary based on membership level: Classic Card holders receive two months of the streaming service, while PF Black Card members gain access for three months. This partnership follows research from the University of Jyväskylä suggesting that personalized workout music can improve physical endurance by nearly 20 percent.

Beyond the subscription offer, the fitness chain is pivoting toward a nostalgic theme this month. More than 600 locations nationwide are scheduled to host "90s Night" events featuring custom playlists and period-specific decor. The initiative culminates in Los Angeles on July 22, where DJ Spinderella—famed for her tenure with Salt-N-Pepa—will perform a live set at the Crenshaw Planet Fitness club. Those unable to attend in person can access the curated "90s workout" soundtrack directly through the company’s official Apple Music curator page.
