Set for a worldwide Transactional VOD release on August 4, 2026, Before Never offers a reimagined, dark take on the J.M. Barrie classic. Filmed entirely on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, the project is the result of a partnership between Vision Films and Legacy Distribution. The narrative follows investigators Smee and James Hook Pierrepoint as they attempt to solve the attempted kidnapping, only to discover that Peter Pan may be linked to a traumatic event from Hook’s own history.

Written by Kipp Tribble and directed by Tribble and Derik Wingo, the film stars Kenny Yates in the lead role, alongside a cast including Joanne Wilson, Elisa Nixon, and Lisa Barrett-Brown. Lise Romanoff, CEO of Vision Films, described the project as a clever spin that forces audiences to re-evaluate characters once considered iconic.
