The project centers on overhauling more than 750 PT6A-68 engines, the reliable powerplants behind the military’s T-6 training fleet. V2X, the Reston, Virginia-based defense contractor overseeing maintenance and supply logistics for these aircraft, tapped the RTX division to lead the technical restoration efforts.
Work will take place at Pratt & Whitney’s specialized plant in Bridgeport, West Virginia. The facility has managed this specific engine series for over four decades and currently supports a local workforce of approximately 500 people.
