Bybit Targets Stablecoin Growth With New RLUSD Incentive Program

With Ripple USD market capitalization surpassing $1.5 billion, Bybit is betting on the stablecoin's momentum by launching a multi-tiered rewards program. Running through August 19, 2026, the campaign incentivizes liquidity through automated yield-like rewards for holders and reduced trading fees on the RLUSD/USDT spot pair.

The new Hold & Earn feature eliminates traditional lock-up periods, allowing users to earn rewards on holdings starting from just 1 RLUSD. Bybit automates the process by taking 24 balance snapshots daily, with individual earnings capped at 5,000,000 RLUSD. A loyalty multiplier rewards those who maintain continuous positions, effectively encouraging long-term capital retention on the platform rather than short-term volatility plays.

Beyond passive holding, the exchange is aggressively lowering the barrier to entry for active traders. Maker fees for the RLUSD/USDT pair have been slashed from 0.10% to zero, while taker fees are reduced to 0.04%. A 50,000 RLUSD prize pool for a dedicated trading competition further rounds out the promotion, though institutional clients are restricted from the competitive segment. Ripple’s RLUSD, which functions as a 1:1 USD-backed asset across the XRP Ledger and Ethereum, continues to see increased integration among banks and financial institutions, positioning this Bybit initiative as a strategic play to capture a larger share of the institutional stablecoin market.
