Despite the broader market slump, Atco secured a significant regulatory victory for its infrastructure portfolio. The Alberta Utilities Commission granted final approval for the company’s $2.9 billion Yellowhead Pipeline project, a move intended to bolster industrial capacity in the region. Canadian Utilities Limited, a subsidiary of the firm, will oversee the construction of the line stretching from the Peers area to Fort Saskatchewan, which includes the installation of a new compressor station. Atco maintains that the infrastructure is vital to meeting the escalating energy demands and long-term economic growth targets across Alberta.
