NorthShore Challenges Incontinence Stigma with Chicago Weekend Event

For millions living with heavy bladder leaks, spontaneous outings have long felt unattainable due to the limitations of standard products. In mid-July, NorthShore Adult Diapers hosted its first "Day Out" in Chicago, bringing together dozens of customers to prove that active, unrestricted weekends are possible with high-performance protection.

The event invited members of the brand’s "Hero Club" from across the country to participate in a series of outings, including a Chicago River architecture cruise and a Cubs game at Wrigley Field. This initiative, part of the broader "Say Yes Summer" campaign, aims to dismantle the isolation often associated with incontinence. By facilitating communal experiences, the company is attempting to shift the narrative from a condition that must be hidden to one that can be managed with confidence.

Beyond the social activities, the weekend included an intensive look at the company’s operations. Attendees toured the 180,000-square-foot facility in Green Oaks, Illinois, and participated in product testing sessions. For many participants, the gathering served as a rare space to discuss their experiences openly. According to data from PDG Insights, 74% of incontinence product buyers report symptoms that exceed the capabilities of standard store-brand options, highlighting a significant gap in the market. A second weekend of programming is scheduled for August 15–16, continuing the company’s effort to advocate for better solutions and open dialogue.
