American Electric Power Sets Quarterly Dividend at 95 Cents

The Board of Directors at American Electric Power has approved a regular quarterly cash dividend of 95 cents per share for common stockholders. This payout follows the company’s recent financial planning, which includes a significant $78 billion capital investment commitment aimed at infrastructure expansion through 2030.

Investors on record by August 10, 2026, will receive the distribution on September 10, 2026. The Columbus-based utility provider currently manages a vast network spanning 11 states, serving 5.6 million customers through its extensive transmission and distribution systems. Beyond maintaining its existing grid, AEP continues to focus on a diverse portfolio of generating assets, totaling approximately 32,000 megawatts of capacity. The company operates through several regional subsidiaries, including AEP Ohio, AEP Texas, and Appalachian Power, reinforcing its role as one of the nation's primary electricity producers.
