The expanded order brings Luxair’s total projected Boeing fleet to eight 737-8s and four 737-10s. CEO Gilles Feith framed the acquisition as a strategic move to balance increased passenger capacity with environmental goals, noting that the new generation of aircraft promises a 20 percent reduction in both fuel consumption and carbon emissions compared to the older planes they are slated to replace.

Designed to handle both business and leisure travel, the 737-10 models will feature a 213-seat configuration equipped with USB-C charging ports and wireless entertainment systems. Ricardo Cavero, Boeing’s vice president of commercial sales for Europe and Israel, emphasized that the aircraft’s per-seat economics are intended to bolster the airline's profitability across its regional network. With the integration of these jets, the carrier aims to maintain its service standards while addressing the growing demand for connectivity from Luxembourg Airport.
