Peregrine Technologies Appoints Adrian Kaplan as First CFO

Adrian Kaplan, a veteran of Retool and Glassdoor, joins San Francisco-based data intelligence firm Peregrine Technologies as its inaugural Chief Financial Officer. The appointment marks a strategic pivot for the company as it scales international operations following a recent $250 million Series D funding round at a $6.8 billion valuation.

Kaplan will report directly to co-founder and CEO Nick Noone, taking responsibility for the company’s finance, accounting, and investor relations functions. Noone emphasized that the move is designed to bolster the firm's infrastructure as it expands into commercial and federal sectors globally. Kaplan previously spent five years as CFO at Retool, where he oversaw the platform's transition to an AI-native business model, and held senior roles at Glassdoor during its $1.2 billion acquisition by Recruit Holdings.

The leadership addition coincides with a period of aggressive growth for Peregrine. The company has doubled its customer base over the past year, now supporting more than 400 agencies and organizations across North America. With new offices recently established in Toronto and London, the firm is leveraging its Series D capital—backed by Sequoia Capital, Fifth Down Capital, and others—to deploy its data integration platform into more high-stakes environments. Kaplan’s mandate includes building the financial discipline necessary to sustain this expansion while managing the governance requirements expected by the company’s enterprise and government clients.
