Fairdinkum Acquires Abacus IT to Scale West Coast Operations

After two decades of building a Southern California client base, Abacus IT is merging with New York-based Fairdinkum Consulting. The deal integrates the two firms to consolidate managed IT service offerings, bringing Abacus founder Jirka Ambroz into the Fairdinkum partnership to oversee the expanded West Coast presence.

The integration marks another step in Fairdinkum’s aggressive growth strategy, following earlier acquisitions of InnoLink Systems, Warren Systems Group, and Tech 2020 Solutions. David Hafke, CEO of Fairdinkum, noted that the move aligns with a shared philosophy of reducing technical complexity for business clients. By absorbing the Abacus team, Fairdinkum aims to leverage a deeper bench of engineering talent to support its national footprint.

Jirka Ambroz, who founded Abacus IT in 2002, will bring 25 years of industry experience to the leadership team. He stated that the merger offers a way to maintain existing client relationships while gaining the resources of a larger organization. For current clients, the transition promises access to broader cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure capabilities without abandoning the responsive, consultative model that defined the Southern California firm.
