The capital injection will transform the facility, which currently employs nearly 4,500 people. Plans for the site include the installation of automated production lines, modern machinery, and digitized manufacturing processes designed to sharpen operational precision. This project serves as a cornerstone for the company’s broader strategy to maintain its status as a pillar of the Quebec aerospace sector.

Satheeshkumar Kumarasingam, president of Pratt & Whitney Canada, noted that the move is essential for bolstering industrial capacity. By integrating advanced technology, the company expects to streamline engine production across its regional, general aviation, and rotorcraft platforms. The funding involves contributions from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada alongside the Ministère de l'Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie du Québec, cementing the partnership between the private sector and government to sustain local high-tech aviation manufacturing.
