The rebranding marks an effort to unify the company’s existing infrastructure, including the EinsteinRx pharmacy AI and the PharmacyChain smart contract platform, under a single digital identity. DataMeds aims to utilize its Health Lives Here mobile application to consolidate medical, laboratory, and wearable device data. By leveraging blockchain technology, the company intends to allow patients to manage their own health records and potentially participate in revenue generated from data transactions.
Interim Co-CEO Gerald Commissiong stated that the company is building a more cohesive environment designed to break down existing barriers between pharmacists, providers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers. The firm plans to initially focus its data-driven solutions on specific patient populations, including those managing GLP-1 associated muscle loss and Long COVID. This move represents a broader attempt to streamline clinical trial offerings while reducing friction in traditional healthcare data sharing.
