CVS Health Expands Pharmacy Services to Include Pet Medications

This rollout positions the retail chain as a centralized destination for household healthcare needs. According to Sid Tenneti, interim president of pharmacy and consumer wellness, the move is designed to streamline the experience for owners who previously had to seek out specialized veterinary pharmacies for routine medication.

The inventory includes select pet-only prescriptions, marking a strategic shift to capture a larger share of the growing pet wellness market. By leveraging its existing national infrastructure, CVS intends to make these treatments as accessible as human prescriptions, potentially reducing the logistical hurdles often associated with animal health maintenance.
