The new spirit marks a significant shift for the Austin-based brand, representing its first non-fruit innovation since the launch of Sweet Tea in 2010. Crafted with real espresso and the brand's signature 10-times distilled 80-proof vodka, the liquid is designed to bypass the traditional brewing and cooling process required for professional-grade coffee cocktails. Julie Cole, Brand Director at Deep Eddy, noted that the product was developed to strip away the complexity of modern cocktail culture, allowing for a premium experience that is accessible day or night.
Beyond the classic martini, the company is promoting the vodka as a versatile base for various frozen and mixed drinks, including a simplified White Russian and a blended Austin Affogato. The product is hitting national retail markets with a suggested price of $16.99 for a 750ml bottle. It is available in a wide range of sizes, from 50ml miniatures to 1.75L handles, catering to both individual consumers and larger gatherings. The expansion comes as the brand continues to capitalize on the sustained popularity of coffee-forward spirits in both social feeds and at-home entertaining.
