Union Home Mortgage Acquires AmeriTrust to Scale Non-QM Lending

Union Home Mortgage has acquired the origination assets of AmeriTrust Mortgage Corporation, a move designed to bolster the company’s position as a top-tier wholesale lender. By absorbing AmeriTrust’s specialized retail branches and broker relationships, Union Home Mortgage aims to accelerate its expansion into non-qualified mortgage products and flexible lending solutions.

The integration of AmeriTrust brings a significant boost to Union Home Mortgage’s non-QM operations, specifically targeting self-employed borrowers and real estate investors. Bill Cosgrove, CEO of Union Home Mortgage, noted that the cultural alignment between the two firms made the deal a strategic necessity for maintaining the company's core service standards. According to Chad Schoep, President of AmeriTrust, the partnership provides the necessary resources to scale the specialized lending model his team has cultivated over the past three years.

This transaction follows a series of aggressive acquisitions, including Sierra Pacific Mortgage and Nations Reliable Lending in 2025. With this latest move, Union Home Mortgage projects an annual loan run rate of $20 billion. The company currently operates in 48 states and the District of Columbia, leveraging its status as the nation's seventh-largest wholesale lender to consolidate its market share in an evolving mortgage landscape.
