The scholarship program, named after company founder Newton D. Becker, selects recipients based on financial need, leadership potential, and community involvement. Since its inception, the program has distributed over $3 million in aid to more than 1,600 aspiring accountants. Becker President Ed Clark stated that the initiative aims to foster the next generation of accounting professionals by removing barriers to licensure.
Recipients receive the Becker Advantage Package, which includes 24 months of access to the firm’s exam preparation platform. This year’s applicant pool represents the largest volume of submissions since the scholarship began, reflecting a competitive environment for those seeking to enter the accounting field. The award underscores the company's broader focus on professional development, currently operating under the Colibri Group umbrella to support career advancement across the financial and healthcare sectors.
