Noha Ghazouani, Vice President of Product Management at Taxwell, noted that the tool seeks to minimize friction by delivering trusted information at the precise moment a user needs it. This release follows the debut of the company’s SmartFile AI, marking a broader strategic push to embed automated assistance into the tax preparation workflow. The connector relies on the Model Context Protocol, a standard that allows AI assistants to securely interface with external applications and data repositories to improve the accuracy of their output.
