Love & Honey Fried Chicken Plots Statewide Pennsylvania Expansion

After building a cult following in Philadelphia, Love & Honey Fried Chicken is launching a statewide franchise push across Pennsylvania. The brand, which emphasizes chef-driven recipes and community-focused hospitality, is scouting for experienced operators to anchor new locations in Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, and other regional hubs.

The expansion marks a homecoming for the fast-casual chain, which launched in Philadelphia in 2017. While the brand recently inked a 20-unit development deal for the Florida market, leadership is now prioritizing its home state to replicate the success of its South Philadelphia location. CEO Laura Lyons noted that the brand’s growth relies on maintaining the same level of culinary quality and warmth that defined its initial Philadelphia footprint.

President Geoff Goodman emphasized that the search for partners focuses on operators capable of fostering local connections rather than just scaling unit counts. The company is currently vetting candidates for prime territories including Lancaster, York, Scranton, and Wilkes-Barre. This move aligns with a broader strategy to secure a foothold in both major metropolitan markets and emerging regional communities where demand for elevated, scratch-made fried chicken remains high.
