The Billerica Innovation Center currently houses more than 260 employees, serving as the primary engine for the company’s global development of low-power, sustainable display solutions. According to Paul Apen, Chief Business and Operations Officer, the expansion is designed to enhance infrastructure and foster a collaborative workspace intended to accelerate the next generation of ePaper applications.

Construction on the new facility is slated for completion by March 2027, with design and engineering support provided by NV5 Planning & Design, IF Design, and SPEC Process Engineering & Construction. Beyond the technological advancements, local officials anticipate a tangible economic impact. Katherine Malgieri, Director of Planning and Community Development for the Town of Billerica, noted that the project is expected to generate new jobs both during the construction phase and after the facility becomes operational.
