Seven of the eight regions overseen by the National Indian Gaming Commission reported growth, reinforcing the sector's role in funding tribal self-sufficiency. The commission defines these figures as the total amount wagered minus winnings paid back to players, using the data to shape regulatory policies under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act.

Vice Chair William (Billy) Kirkland highlighted the achievement as a testament to the strength of tribal governance. Associate Commissioner Sharon Avery credited the results to the dedication of tribal regulators and operators focused on responsible expansion. The commission continues to monitor these trends to ensure the long-term integrity of the industry across its 500-plus regulated locations.
