Erasca Faces Securities Class Action After $2.8 Billion Market Loss

A sharp decline in Erasca, Inc. shares has triggered a class action investigation, as shareholders allege the company misled them regarding the safety and competitive standing of its lead oncology candidate, ERAS-0015. Hagens Berman is now seeking investors affected by the losses to join the litigation before the August deadline.

The lawsuit centers on claims that Erasca executives painted a deceptive picture of their 'best-in-class' molecular glue between January 14, 2025, and April 26, 2026. According to the complaint, the company allegedly used flawed preclinical data to claim superiority over competitors like Revolution Medicines while simultaneously concealing significant patent infringement risks and internal safety concerns. These claims reached a breaking point in late April 2026, when the disclosure of a patient death in clinical trials and a legal challenge from Revolution Medicines caused the company’s market capitalization to drop by over $2.8 billion.

Reed Kathrein, a partner at Hagens Berman, is spearheading the probe into whether the company intentionally obfuscated the truth to inflate stock prices. Investors who purchased Erasca stock during the specified class period have until August 10, 2026, to apply for lead plaintiff status. The firm is also encouraging whistleblowers with non-public information to come forward, citing the potential for SEC-backed rewards in cases involving corporate negligence.
