Armstrong World Expands Buyback Program to $2.5 Billion

Armstrong World is doubling down on its capital return strategy, authorizing an additional $800 million for share repurchases. This expansion pushes the total value of the company’s buyback program to $2.5 billion, signaling long-term confidence as leadership extends the initiative’s timeline through the end of 2029.

The ceiling system manufacturer confirmed that the board of directors also approved a quarterly cash dividend of 33.9 cents per share. Investors on record by the close of business on August 5 will receive this payout on August 19. By scaling both its repurchase capacity and dividend commitment, the company is refining its approach to shareholder value ahead of its five-year target.
