The company reported earnings of $2.88 a share, up from $2.81 a share in the same period last year. On an adjusted basis, earnings reached $2.99 a share, comfortably beating the $2.91 consensus forecast from FactSet analysts. Total revenue climbed to $1.71 billion, narrowly exceeding the $1.68 billion anticipated by the market.

While clearing and transaction fees dipped 2.6% to $1.35 billion, this contraction was absorbed by a 21% surge in market data and information services revenue, which hit $238.1 million. Average daily volume reached 29.8 million contracts, including 9.1 million contracts outside the U.S. Although this represents a 1.2% year-over-year decrease, the exchange noted that the performance still stands as the third-highest average daily volume in its history.
