The agreement leverages Puli Space’s flight-proven rover platforms and Mission Space’s recent NASA-backed research into surface-charging instruments. By pairing rover mobility with localized sensors, the companies plan to capture dynamic environmental data during traverses, moving beyond static measurements to create comprehensive maps of the lunar surface. This effort aligns with NASA’s broader Moon Base and Ignition initiatives, which prioritize understanding the lunar environment to protect future habitats and power systems.
Mission Space CEO Mary Glaz noted that transforming these measurements into an operational data layer is essential for mission planning and anomaly attribution. Tibor Pacher, CEO of Puli Space, emphasized that the partnership builds on their successful deployment of the Puli Lunar Water Snooper, which landed on the Moon during the IM-2 mission in March 2025. Beyond scientific research, the two firms are exploring a joint commercial product that combines environmental metrics with rover telemetry to support upcoming lunar operations.
