The new model addresses the shifting habits of home coffee enthusiasts by integrating two dedicated milk carafes. Through the company's LatteCrema Hot & Cool technologies, the device produces textured microfoam for traditional espresso-based drinks and cold, aerated milk for iced lattes. Beyond milk preparation, the machine utilizes three distinct extraction methods to manage espresso, drip coffee, and a cold brew process that replicates a 12-hour steep in less than three minutes.
Eliza Woolston Sheffield, President of De'Longhi North America, noted that the design aims to consolidate multiple coffeehouse functions into a single countertop appliance. The unit includes 20 preset recipes, a conical burr grinder with 13 settings, and customizable user profiles to adjust size, intensity, and temperature. The Magnifica Duo is currently available in the United States for $999.95 and in Canada for $1,299.99 CAD through major retailers and the company's website.
