The competition operates through a dual-track system, spanning four domestic hubs—Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Haikou—alongside three overseas divisions in Asia, Europe, and North America. Organizers are accepting entries from universities, research institutions, and private enterprises, splitting participants into Start-up and Growth groups to accommodate projects ranging from early-stage concepts to mature businesses. The initiative serves as a strategic effort by the Haikou National High-Tech Zone to cement its status as a primary hub for international industrial resources.

Contestants must submit their applications via the official portal by July 31, 2026. Following a closed-door evaluation in early August, selected teams will participate in online roadshows before the Grand Final in Haikou on August 28. Beyond the prize money, winners gain access to specialized landing support sessions and industrial park tours designed to facilitate the commercialization of their technology. The event is backed by multiple government bodies, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, signaling a coordinated push to integrate global expertise into the regional economy.
