Investors Target Lucid Group Over Alleged Misleading Production Claims

Lucid Group faces a class action lawsuit following revelations that management touted a repeatable operating cadence while secretly grappling with a month-long delivery halt. Investors claim the company’s February 2026 assurances of structural progress masked a supplier-driven crisis that ultimately triggered a sharp decline in share price.

The legal action, initiated by the firm Levi & Korsinsky, centers on a disconnect between Lucid’s public statements and its operational reality in early 2026. While leadership promised investors a production run rate of 7,500 vehicles per quarter and claimed quality issues with Gravity hardware were resolved, the company was simultaneously managing a 29-day delivery suspension. This disruption, attributed to faulty seatbelt anchor welds from an unauthorized supplier, was not disclosed until April 2026.

Financial results for the first quarter underscored the severity of the oversight. Lucid delivered only 3,093 vehicles—a 41% miss against the 5,237 units anticipated by the market. This operational shortfall contributed to a revenue deficit of over $150 million and quarterly losses exceeding $985 million. The cumulative effect of these corrective disclosures caused Lucid shares to drop by $1.57, prompting legal scrutiny into whether executives knowingly maintained inflated stock prices while concealing supply chain failures. Affected shareholders have until July 28, 2026, to apply for the role of lead plaintiff in the ongoing litigation.
