Neiger, a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and founder of the Jewish Artists Collective Chicago, describes her painting process as a dialogue between intention and chance. She begins her canvases with spontaneous acrylic pours and splashes, gradually refining the abstract foundations into landscapes that evoke memory rather than direct representation. This layered approach, utilizing transparent oil glazes, mirrors the evolution of her own creative identity throughout her tenure at NeigerDesign.

The exhibition, which runs through August 28, serves as a bridge between her professional history in nonprofit and healthcare design and her commitment to fine art. Neiger’s work frequently probes the intersection of cultural identity and abstraction, themes she has explored in juried exhibitions across the Midwest. An opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, from 2:00 to 6:30 p.m. as part of the Evanston Made gallery walk.
