CEO Robert S. McAnnally emphasized the dual focus of meeting immediate energy demand while modernizing infrastructure for long-term reliability. A central component of this strategy involved replacing over 400 miles of distribution and transmission lines, a move designed to bolster system integrity and curb fugitive methane leaks. These efforts earned the company a Safety Achievement Award from the American Gas Association for the ninth year in a row.
Beyond infrastructure, the utility expanded its consumer-facing conservation initiatives. By issuing 26,477 energy efficiency rebates worth roughly $14.1 million, the firm helped customers lower their consumption, preventing an estimated 40,840 metric tons of CO2e emissions. Internal metrics also showed stability, with employee engagement scores landing in the top quartile of the Gallup database for the ninth consecutive year, supported by over 10,575 volunteer hours and $3.2 million in community grants distributed through the ONE Gas Foundation.
