GE Vernova now projects annual revenue between $45.5 billion and $46.5 billion, a $1 billion increase over previous guidance. CEO Scott Strazik pointed to a $176 billion backlog as evidence of sustained growth, noting that the firm is successfully expanding margins alongside its order volume. This optimism stands in contrast to other segments of the industrial market, which face more complex headwinds.
Alaska Air Group reported a second-quarter loss of $76 million, or 68 cents a share, hindered by spiking fuel costs. Despite the downturn, the carrier anticipates a rebound in the third quarter. Meanwhile, European firms show mixed results: Finland’s Kone maintained its full-year outlook despite restructuring expenses and costs linked to the acquisition of TK Elevator. Conversely, Dassault Aviation faces a quieter period, recording zero Rafale fighter jet orders in the first half of the year, even as its Falcon business aircraft line sustains steady interest.
