The first agreement focuses on European renewable projects, where CHINT will supply a full spectrum of hardware—ranging from photovoltaic modules and battery storage to EV charging stations. Beyond manufacturing, CHINT will provide engineering and construction services to support Octopus Energy's ongoing development pipeline. This integration seeks to streamline the delivery of scalable clean energy solutions by aligning CHINT’s industrial capacity with Octopus Energy’s established service network.

In a parallel move, Chint Anneng Digital Power and Octopus Energy Group have committed to exploring virtual power plant (VPP) opportunities within the Chinese market. This initiative centers on demand response and the aggregation of distributed energy resources. By blending CHINT Anneng’s local market insights with the international VPP expertise of Octopus Energy, the partners plan to pilot digital business models designed to improve grid resilience and flexibility. Dr. Chuan Lu, Director of CHINT Group, noted that the alliance leverages the companies' combined strengths in infrastructure and software to drive decarbonization. Greg Jackson, CEO of Octopus Energy, added that the partnership secures the high-tier hardware necessary to scale their digital energy systems globally.
