VersaBank Recruits Industry Veteran Moe Danis to Scale U.S. SRP Operations

VersaBank has reappointed finance veteran Moe Danis to its Structured Receivable Program team, tasking the industry expert with driving expansion in the U.S. market. The move follows a surge in demand for the bank’s recently launched real-time funding solutions for point-of-sale financing partners.

Danis, a CFA charterholder with nearly five decades of experience, previously served at VersaBank from 2010 to 2016, where he played a foundational role in developing the bank's initial Structured Receivable Program (SRP). His return is aimed at bolstering business development efforts, specifically targeting large-scale U.S. partners looking to leverage the bank’s proprietary real-time funding capabilities.

David Taylor, founder and president of VersaBank, noted that Danis’ deep familiarity with the bank’s internal processes makes him a strategic addition to address the current market appetite. Tel Matrundola, president of VersaBank USA, added that the appointment provides necessary support alongside existing SRP lead Mike Dixon as the bank seeks to capitalize on its digital-first, branchless model. Prior to his return, Danis held senior positions at CWB Maxium Financial Inc. and SunLife, and served as a consultant within the private securitization and leasing sectors.
