Salad and Go Revamps Menu to Tackle Fast-Food Sluggishness

Nearly half of diners struggle to find healthy, fast, and affordable meals, according to a recent survey from Salad and Go. In response, the Phoenix-based drive-thru chain is rolling out Menu 2.GO, an overhaul featuring recipe upgrades, new steak options, and flexible pricing structures designed to combat midday energy dips.

The company’s research indicates that 42% of consumers feel sluggish after eating traditional greasy fast food. To counter this, the new menu introduces customizable combos that allow guests to pair salads or wraps with sides like pita chips, quesadillas, or soup. The update includes a smaller salad portion starting at $5.99, providing a lower entry price point for diners seeking lighter fare.

CEO Mike Tattersfield stated that the shift is a direct result of guest feedback, emphasizing a move toward greater choice and value. Alongside the permanent menu changes, the chain is launching seasonal items such as the Elote Salad and a Coconut Cold Brew. Chef Daniel Patino noted that the evolution is the culmination of 18 months of testing new proteins and seasonal offerings tailored to customer preferences. The revamped menu is now available across all 70 locations in Arizona and Nevada, with additional discounts accessible through the company’s mobile app.
