This partnership marks a reunion of two Chicago-based institutions, blending the NFL franchise's operational needs with Culligan’s 90-year history in water services. Scott Clawson, CEO of Culligan International, described the agreement as a strategic move to promote sustainable habits within one of the league's most historic organizations. By integrating smart filtration directly into the facility's plumbing, the team aims to reduce its environmental footprint while maintaining high-performance standards for athletes and personnel.
Paul Neurauter, senior vice president of operations and sustainability for the Bears, noted that the initiative aligns with the club's long-term environmental goals. Beyond facility upgrades, the two organizations plan to launch joint volunteer initiatives and fan engagement programs centered on the impact of sustainable hydration. Culligan, which reported $3.5 billion in revenue in 2025, currently operates in over 100 countries and claims to offset the use of roughly 45 billion plastic bottles annually through its global technology portfolio.
