Former tennis pro pivots to early childhood education in Downingtown

Arvind Aravindhan spent years on the professional tennis circuit, yet found his most significant wins coaching children rather than winning matches. This realization drove the former athlete to pivot from the court to the classroom, opening the new Kiddie Academy in Downingtown alongside partners Dr. Karpagam Aravindhan, Srini, and Indhu Manickam.

The facility, which began operations in November 2025, integrates Aravindhan’s athletic background into the brand's proprietary Life Essentials curriculum. Children at the 10,000-square-foot center engage in modified sports programs, including soccer, taekwondo, and tennis, using scaled-down equipment to foster early physical and intellectual development. Located at 595 Bell Tavern Blvd, the academy is licensed to accommodate 149 students across 11 classrooms. The site includes a 5,000-square-foot outdoor space featuring a VersaCourt designed for diverse physical activities, reflecting the owners' focus on a mind-body approach to early learning.
