National Airlines Expands Fleet Support With New GE Aerospace Order

National Airlines is bolstering its long-haul cargo capabilities through a fresh procurement deal with GE Aerospace, securing one GE90-110B engine and six CF6-80C2 units. The acquisition, which remains financially undisclosed, will support the carrier’s existing fleet of Boeing 777F and 747F freighters as global logistics demand continues to climb.

National Airlines Expands Fleet Support With New GE Aerospace Order

This order deepens an existing partnership between the two companies, building upon a fleet that already relies on 30 CF6 and eight GE90 powerplants. National Airlines intends to utilize these additional engines to increase its operational capacity, ensuring more consistent availability for its widebody freighter operations.

GE Aerospace remains a dominant force in the heavy-lift market. The GE90 engine family maintains exclusivity across all Boeing 777 models, including the 777-300ER and 777-200LR. Simultaneously, the CF6 engine series continues to anchor the sector, powering nearly 70% of the world’s widebody cargo aircraft.
