Burnham Holdings Reports Earnings Jump on Core Boiler Business Focus

Burnham Holdings, Inc. posted a sharp rise in second-quarter profitability as the Lancaster-based manufacturer reaps the rewards of a strategic pivot toward its core boiler and thermal solutions business. The company reported net sales of $56.6 million for the period, marking a 6.8% increase over the previous year.

The company’s financial performance reflects a streamlined portfolio following the divestiture of subsidiaries Thermo Products and Norwood Manufacturing. Adjusted net income from continuing operations climbed to $2.3 million for the quarter, or $0.48 per diluted share, a substantial improvement from the $0.9 million recorded in the same period of 2025. Gross profit margins also expanded to 23.1%, up from 21.6% a year ago.

CEO Chris Drew attributed the results to a sharpened focus on high-efficiency heating technology, which continues to see steady demand. While the company maintains a $5.8 million reserve related to ongoing asbestos litigation involving its subsidiaries, management noted that recent reserve increases were offset by the release of excess operating funds, resulting in a neutral impact on current earnings. The Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.23 per share, payable in September.
