VeriSign Ups Buyback Authorization to $1.5 Billion

VeriSign is funneling an additional $884.2 million into its share repurchase program, a move that pushes the total capacity for buybacks to $1.5 billion. The technology firm signaled its intent to return capital to shareholders alongside a confirmed cash dividend payout scheduled for late August.

Beyond the expansion of the repurchase program, the company board approved a cash dividend of 81 cents per share. Investors on the books by the close of business on August 19 will receive the payment on August 27. This decision reflects the company’s ongoing strategy to manage its capital structure through direct shareholder returns.
