Chief Executive Philipp Stratmann noted that the acquisition integrates new subsea capabilities into the existing product line, reinforcing the company's long-term strategy for maritime operations. While financial terms of the agreement remain undisclosed, the transaction was structured as an asset acquisition to prioritize intellectual property ownership while maintaining corporate financial flexibility.

The deal includes ongoing developmental work and existing customer engagement, which the company expects will reduce technical risk and accelerate the commercialization of future subsea solutions. By absorbing these specific technologies, Ocean Power intends to shorten its path to market, moving beyond surface-level systems to provide a more comprehensive suite of infrastructure for its diverse customer base.
