Loomis Hits Record Profit Margins Amid Latin American Expansion

Loomis AB reported a record operating margin of 14 percent for the second quarter of 2026, as the cash-handling firm capitalized on strong growth in its international and automated business lines. The Stockholm-based company saw revenue climb to 7.89 billion SEK, bolstered by strategic acquisitions in Argentina and Peru.

CEO Aritz Larrea attributed the performance to the company’s diversified model, which delivered a currency-adjusted growth rate of 9.1 percent. Operating income, or EBITA, surpassed the 1 billion SEK threshold, climbing to 1.1 billion SEK from 944 million in the same period last year. This efficiency gain pushed the EBITA margin up by more than 1 percentage point.

Financial stability remains a cornerstone of the firm’s current trajectory, with net debt standing at 1.6 times EBITDA. Earnings per share rose to 9.09 SEK, up from 7.01 SEK in the second quarter of 2025. Beyond core financial metrics, the company is aggressively scaling its footprint in Latin America through the acquisition of Argentina’s Transportadora del Interior and the planned takeover of Peru’s Hermes Transportes Blindados, moves designed to sustain long-term growth and shareholder returns.
